Lu Han is driven by the pursuit of effortless intelligence — building systems that dissolve complexity, amplify human potential, and turn the impossible into intuitive solutions. With over a decade of experience in high-performance data systems and scalable analytics infrastructure, she brings an industry-leading background in data modeling and optimization. Her expertise ensures that Spindle AI’s platform and AI Agents process complex financial data securely, efficiently, and in near-real time — uncovering hidden insights that drive strategic decision-making.
At Spindle AI, Lu leads the development of data ingestion, integration pipelines, and SOC 2 Type II/ISO 27001-compliant infrastructure, ensuring the platform operates at scale while delivering deep, actionable insights that empower finance teams to drive strategic decision-making and generating insights. As a key member of Spindle’s SWAT (SoftWare Action Team), she plays a critical role in optimizing system performance, resolving infrastructure challenges, and enabling AI-driven financial intelligence. She also builds AI-native features for mapping data, dynamically breaking down schemas, and structuring unstructured financial datasets — powering Spindle’s ability to generate precise, real-time insights across the entire product.
Prior to Spindle AI, Lu was a Principal Engineer at Salesforce (formerly Tableau), where she collaborated with a core team of five engineers on foundational re-architecture initiatives, transitioning Tableau’s monolithic services into scalable microservices that facilitated integration with Salesforce post-acquisition. As Tech Lead for Tableau’s Ask Data, she shipped innovative, AI-powered analytics features leveraging machine learning, smart data preparation, and rapid prototyping — enabling business users worldwide to effortlessly uncover actionable insights from complex datasets.
Motivated by the opportunity to tackle large-scale data challenges, Lu joined PDM Automotive to lead engineering efforts in building scalable infrastructure for automotive data. Working closely with C-suite leadership, she established robust engineering practices and designed systems for data lineage, validation, and integration, supporting rapid growth. Her work enabled PDM to manage millions of records for 2,000+ customers, including Polaris and Holley, while securing partnerships with Walmart and Amazon. This experience in structuring and integrating vast, fragmented datasets informs her work at Spindle AI, where she builds resilient data infrastructure to power AI-driven financial analytics.
Outside of work, Lu thrives in fast-paced sports like badminton and basketball where strategy and teamwork make all the difference — though she’s still trying to convince her mischievous cats to follow a game plan. In weightlifting and CrossFit, she’s chasing her next unlocked movement (current: the elusive handstand walk). She enjoys the dynamic balance of competition and movement — always ready for the next challenge, whether on the court or at home with her partner in the San Francisco Bay Area.
