A veteran executive of finance organizations spanning Google, Expedia, eHealth (NASDAQ: EHTH), Carta, and beyond, Karin McCoubrey is known for scaling some of Silicon Valley’s best-performing Strategic Finance teams. Today an angel investor and advisor, she most recently served as Vice President of Strategic Finance at Carta—the equity management and FinTech platform trusted by over 40,000 leading companies—where she led a global 25-person team across GTM, R&D, G&A, Corporate Finance, and Investor Relations.

Ms. McCoubrey previously served as Acting CFO, and Head of FP&A, for Expedia Group’s Hotwire brand. There, she owned the full P&L and partnered with product, marketing, sales, and analytics leadership to drive forecasting, strategic planning, and resource allocation across the business. She later joined Google as Head of Sales Finance & Partnerships Finance (Americas), supporting devices like Pixel and Nest across revenue forecasting, pricing and promotions strategy, deal desk operations, and contract structuring in collaboration with product and GTM leadership during a high-growth period for the company.

Earlier, Ms. McCoubrey led a 15-person FP&A team at eHealth (NASDAQ: EHTH), a leading online health insurance marketplace, owning finance for Sales, Marketing, Partnerships, and Product. There, she worked closely with functional SVPs and the CFO to implement performance forecasting across key GTM channels, support business model evolution in response to market & regulatory shifts during a pivotal moment in digital healthcare distribution, and more.

Having begun her career at PwC, she later held international and divisional CFO roles at ARRIS Group (now part of CommScope, NASDAQ: COMM), including VP of Finance for Aurora Networks and Head of Finance for Europe and Latin America. Across these roles, Ms. McCoubrey supported the integration of multibillion-dollar acquisitions, built regional planning infrastructure from the ground up, and partnered with global operations to drive margin expansion and capital efficiency.

In addition to her work with Spindle AI, Ms. McCoubrey provides mentorship and advisory support to early-stage SaaS and FinTech companies. She is a longtime advocate for women in finance and technology, serving on the board of the ARRIS Women’s Business Network and as a member of Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT). Ms. McCoubrey is a Chartered Accountant (ACA) and alumna of PwC’s selective “Flying Start” program in Business Accounting & Finance at Newcastle University in the UK, where she was raised.
